Fresh to The Oppenheim Group, Vanessa Villela joined “Selling Sunset” in its fourth season. Although she was only on the show for a short time, fans want to know why she left and how things are between her and former cast members today.
Transition to The Agency
Vanessa left “Selling Sunset” and The Oppenheim Group after two seasons. She went back to The Agency, a competing brokerage, where she started her real estate career. Vanessa said she was excited to return to The Agency, where “it feels like home,” alongside successful, collaborative agents who felt more like family. She also said she was focused on taking her real estate career to the next level, and “felt The Agency was the best place for that happen.
Departure from ‘Selling Sunset’
Vanessa explained that her exit from “Selling Sunset” was a decision made because she knew the show was successful, but she often still felt like the new girl at school. However, she wanted to create her own life and pursue her dreams. Vanessa left because she wanted to branch off on her own in real estate.
Maintaining Cast Connections
Even though she has moved on from the show, Vanessa still keeps in touch with some of her fellow cast members. She stays in touch with Maya Vander, saying they have a special connection and often talk. Vanessa has also sent a few messages to Christine Quinn, who she notes had been friendly with her. She adds that the rest of the cast is super nice, but she doesn’t talk to them regularly.
Personal Milestones
Outside of her career, Vanessa hit some major life events. In September 2022, she wed photographer and creative director Nick Hardy. The couple tied the knot at The Fairmont Grand Del Mar in San Diego, where Vanessa’s family is rooted close by, which made the venue special for them. There were 69 guests in all at the beautifully magical, cinematic ceremony Vanessa had imagined.
Future Endeavors
