A man has been charged with murder after allegedly shooting and killing his wife in Mississippi on Christmas Eve. The incident took place in a peaceful residential neighborhood, disturbing the community.
Tragic Incident on Christmas Eve
Dawn Marie Tillman, 65, was allegedly shot dead by her husband, Timothy Wayne Tillman, 53, in the town of Terry, approximately 15 miles southwest of the state capital, Jackson.
Details of the Investigation
On Tuesday night, Hinds County Sheriff’s deputies quickly responded to a gunfire report inside a Doc Henry Cove home. Law enforcement said that a female had been shot in the head and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The shooting occurred around 5:40 p.m. local time in the 700 block of Doc Henry Cove in the town, the Hinds County Sheriff’s Office said.
On Christmas Day, police announced in a social media post that they are still investigating the unknown motive.
