Colombian police arrested Karen Julieth Ojeda Rodriguez, 23, known as “La Muñeca,” or “The Doll,” in connection with multiple gang-related murders. Rodriguez is accused of plotting multiple targeted killings, including her ex-boyfriend’s ambush, Deyvy Jesus. On July 23, she allegedly enticed him to a meeting to settle a financial dispute. During the encounter in Piedecuesta, two men on a motorcycle shot him dead, reportedly in her direction.

Authorities arrested two accomplices along with her, including 24-year-old Paula Valentina Joya Rueda, known by her alias “Gorda Sicaria” or “Fat Hitwoman,” and a man identified only as “Leopoldo.” During the operation, police recovered a revolver and a 9mm pistol. Investigators are looking into whether these weapons have been used in recent homicides.

Lieutenant Colonel Mauricio Herrera from the Magdalena Medio Police said these arrests have calmed the region. He stressed that disrupting those types of criminal structures is key to attacking the violence in areas like Bucaramanga, where there is a homicide every three days.
