Dr. Babak Hajhosseini, founder of the Wound and Burn Centers of America in Beverly Hills, is facing serious criminal charges. He is accused of drugging and sexually assaulting a female employee at his home. He was arrested by the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) on November 26, 2024, after the employee filed a report.
Modus Operandi
The investigation alleges that Dr. Hajhosseini posted high hourly wages on job recruitment websites to lure potential victims. He forced employees to come to his home for so-called overtime work. Once on the ground, he pressured at least one female employee to drink until she passed out. He then allegedly attacked her and filmed the act.
Legal Proceedings and Charges
On Dec. 23, a grand jury indicted Dr. Hajhosseini on more than a dozen counts. These are two counts of rape by use of drugs, one count of raping an unconscious or asleep person, one count of oral copulation by anesthesia or controlled substance, and four counts of oral copulation of an unconscious…. He has denied all charges against him.
Defense’s Response
Dr. Hajhosseini’s legal team has said the accusations are false and salacious. They claim to have heaped mountains of exculpatory evidence supporting his innocence, such as a polygraph test. Transitioning to a court setting, his lawyers argue that evidence, not media reports, should resolve the case.
